I know that he and Mary Downing worked for Lord Stafford at Swynnerton Hall in the 1750s. They married in 1775 in Swynnerton, and lived at the Lodge in Cold Meece, Staffordshire. They had seven children: Mary, George, James, Hannah, Anne, Prudence and Jane. In the 1841 census the youngest daughter Jane and her husband William Holt are aged 90 and born in Staffordshire. |
