Mr S Bunce fhm@metropolis.co.uk UNITED KINGDOM George Peck was born 1842 in Brompton, Middlesex, the son of Richard Peck. In 1871 George was a varnish maker living in Wandsworth. He married Agnes in 1880 at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster, and eventually took over the business of William Harland and Son, varnish manufacturers of Phipps Bridge, Mitcham, Surrey. In 1901 George and Agnes lived at 9 Belgrave Square, London, under the surname Harland-Peck. George died in 1920, Agnes in 1939 aged 86. Both are buried at Putney Vale Cemetery. …
